Franz Rulofson

Franz moved to Shasta Forest Village in August 2021 with his wife Julia and daughter Claire. He retired from College of the Redwoods in Eureka where he was Professor of Agriculture. During his twenty-year tenure he developed the college’s certified organic farm, taught a variety of classes in plant science, animal science, agriculture business and tractor operation and managed the campus greenhouse operations. Prior to that he worked for University of California, Davis and Oregon State University as a Farm Advisor. Franz has a Master of Science degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in animal breeding and genetics. His hobbies include home repair, gardening, hunting, and fishing.
